I have the blues with ground control coilovers so eibach springs. Sure, its bumpier. But im also Tucking rubber on size 60 tires, so the tires absorb alot. They are pretty stiffer then stock, ride very smooth when theres just little bumps, but once you hit a big one its quite a difference. Its not "BOUNCY" by any means...

gr-2 is an oem replacement shock. the blue is a mild performance shock.
i would also look at the koni red shocks as well.

GR-2s are much stiffer than stock. You can run a considerably more stiffer spring and the kyb's handle them just fine :D

I use GR-2s & TEIN S-TECH: Controlled and considerable upgrade from stock though with these springs... I consider it a street set up, no track.

It's mostly about the skill, not about the suspension...... :D

Gr-2's as I said are OEM replacement shocks. Note below the mention of smooth, comfortable, ride comfort...and then "often ebtter than original equipment", not ALWYAS better, just often. This kind of wording doesnt indicate that htey designed teh shock to be a high perofrmance shock. KYB designed the gr-2 to replace stock shocks, while the gas-a-just and agx are their high performance shocks.

"GR-2® Premium Shocks and Struts are specially designed to provide a smooth, secure ride with excellent control for drivers who are looking for ride comfort and improved handling. With its patented check valve, the GR-2® Premium Shocks and Struts always maintain excellent performance under even the roughest conditions. It also provides comfort and control that is often better than original equipment. GR-2® Premium Shocks and Struts are available for virtually all vehicles on the road today."

Typically the GR-2 will be a great shock for near stock spring rates. But for something like skunk2 coilovers which are usually 400-500 percent stiffer than stock springs you will just blow them out slightly slower than stock shocks.

False... you can't compare 150k mile stock KYB Nissan shocks to new GR2s.

They are 10-15% stiffer than stock, and that by no means lends usage of a stiffer spring adequately.

My info is from a KYB engineer.

Drifting is hardly a measure of suspension performance.

Will the GR2's work ok with Eibach sportline springs or any other Eibach springs? This is for a 240sx.
