y8 + Nitrous?

I drive a 97ex coupe. Im debating if i should spray like a 35, 45 shot nos kit. Not sure if my engine will blow? It is completely stock, other than a intake. I only have like 118k miles. What else can I do to make this engine able to hold a 35 shot or 45 shot? And lastly how much of a diff can you feel or make my car go?

It'll hold it stock with no problems (I know a guy spraying a 75 dry on his coupe, stock except intake and exhaust)

GENERAL RULE OF THUMB IS 30% HP INCREASE.. SHOULD NOT DO ANY HARM.. BUT RECOMEND I/H/E WOULD BE NICE TO GET THE FULL AFFECT.. BUT YOU WILL FEEL A OK DIFFERENCE.. LIKE A VTEC IS ABOUT ROUND 20 SHOT FEEL.. YOU REALLY FEEL IT AT AROUND A 50 SHOT AND REALLY NICE AT A 75 SHOT LEVEL.. BUT YEA.. 1 WAY OR ANOTHER.. ID RECOMEND A BOTTLE WARMER FOR SURE.. BUT DO A COMPRESSION TEST B4 YOU DO ANYTHING !!!!! GOOD LUCK.

My boy ran a 100 shot of wet on his comepletely stock sohc for 2 months and sprayed 9 bottles of juice in that time b4 the motor blew.

I'd say get a nice header and spray a 75 wet and you would be much happier than just a 35.

50 shot wet. Do a little more research t find out everything you'll need. I don't wanna see post about a fucked up motor.

look man nitrous isnt cheap to do it right remeber that. your motor will hold a 50 shot all day but you need to get a bottle wormer and purge in order to keep that feeling. also remeber nitrous is a expencive(sp?) adiction. good luck man...

i debated using nitrous at one time, but decided against it with stock internals.... plus people call it "cheating" i just have no opinion over it

I dont know...ive been calling performance shop...so many people said like a y8 could handle it. But only like 1 person keeps telling me a 50 will blow my engine Fast. I've heard people claiming w/ only like 35 shot nos, they would run high 14 or around there. dont know... Im not trying to reach that fast just trying to get low 15. ill be happy

50+ get a walbro fuel pump. Under 50 you should be fine. As long as you have enough fuel coming you should be okay but I wouldnt go past 75 for sure on a y8.

You don't need a bottle warmer dude. Leaking a 50 shot off that bottle isn't going to allow it to frost or even cool down and lose pressure. Bottle warmers can be dangerous (heat=boom somtimes). Just spray it on the rich side and you'll be fine.

get a fuel pressure regulator and colder plugs along with an NX kit. with those mods a 50-75 shot shouldn't give you any problems as long as it's jetted properly.

guy, this kid dont even know shit about his own car, why tell him use Nitrous?? nitrous is dangerous, if u dont know how to use it correctly, u WILL blow ur MOTOR... Do more search before u do anything
