Ok first off if you help me fix my problem or guide me in the way to where I fix my problem I will send $5 through paypal to your account.
My setup:

94 civic coupe
d16z6
y8 tranny
act xtss clutch

First off I had the original d16z6 tranny in but it grinded alot of gears so I swapped it out for a y8 tranny, while I did the tranny swap I put in a act xtss clutch. I went with this clutch because I knew it would grip hard and I knew I was going to turbo it soon. Well after 2 months of everything working perfectly fine one morning when I was driving to school I switched into 2nd gear and barely missed it right away my engine was free reving and not going anywhere, just as if you would burn up a clutch. Well once I pulled over and shut my engine off the car fealt like it wasnt locking into any gear. When I would start the car it would def. not go in any gear as if somthing was blocking the shift linkage from moving. So I thought it was the tranny. (all along I had a fealing this clutch could of not messed up that tranny so fast.) So I bought a new y8 tranny from a local and just put it in last night.(8 hours) Now the exact same thing the car wont go into gear when I start it. I forgot to mention when I pulled the first one it looked like the shift fork that slides over the bearing had gotten thrown off. Not sure though if it just feal off when I pulled the tranny. So I made sure everything was in perfect place when I swapped it in. If my car's not on and someone is standing by my hood by pushing the shifter into gears it goes in. As soon as you start it up though it wont move anywhere not even with force. It seems like somthing's blocking it internally or somthing. (i dunno) Also if the car's off I can put it into gear start it up and drive in that gear. But I cant switch into any other gear. Anyone know that the problem could be. I bleed the clutch 500 times and it has alot of pressure on it, for sure not any air in the line. I dont know im just burned out. I have a badass turbo kit also waiting to go on. Let me know guy's if youve ever experienced anything like this and what you had to do to fix it. Thanks in advance.! -Nick

the shift fork is in the tranny. they break or bend, or come loose all the time. fairly common when people shift too hard.

bump.. I helped pull the tranny off ... we can't figure this shit out.. it took us 20x to line the tranny up to the block.. it wouldn't just slip in to place.. like all the other trannys, we even tried putting the old tranny back on, and it still wouldnt slide into place, we eventually forced it on with the bolts.. is it the pilot bearing?

check your master cylinder....same thing happened in my teg...could switch gears with the car off, but on it would do as yours does. I went through the hassle you are going through and eventually noticed a leak on my carpet by the clutch pedal. Changed the master cylinder and its all good. The slave just wasnt getting enough pressure from the master.
