I have some Eibach Sportlines on my car and I love the way the front sits, but I want to go a tad lower on the rear. If I cut a little bit off the coil, will that ruin/affect my ride quality immensly? I just want a small drop without having to buy a whole new set of springs/coil overs.
Thanks.

it will change the characteristics of the ride but not dramatically it will however void any warranty that came with the springs.

cutting springs is for ricers. aftermarket springs are engineered to work together, when you go messing with them, they don't perform as well. if you want to control your ride height, buy coilovers.

Its not as bad as all these people say if its doen correctly but the time it will take to do it right you mide as well buy lowering springs. If you havent done it before I woudlnt suggest it.

why not jsut sell ur current springs then buy a set of springs that drop the car lower. You hack them Eibachs later one gonna be hard to sell.

Do not cut them even if it is just a little. Like someone said why dont you sell the springs you have and get some coil overs. :thumb: That way you will have a nice ride and adjust what height you want your car at.

Just save your money and do it the right way. You all have to consider pretty much every spring has been cut at one time or another even from the factory

everyone hates on cutting springs lol

heck if you have the stuff to cut them down some, try it. If you don't like the way the car rides just buy some more springs.

I had the same problem with my pro-kit springs, so I took the ones in the back off and put coilovers in the back. Now it's just the way I want it.

wrd. Just make sure when you cut the next coil down, its in the same spot as where the coil ends cause you'll fuck yourself something terrible if you don't.

I'm assuming you're still riding on your factory shocks which are probably already blown. Go with some Koni Yellow shocks, they have an adjustable spring perch on the front & rear. The Koni shocks compliment Eibach springs very well.
