i'm in the market for new rims and i'm going from 17inch tires/wheels on my civic to either 15 inches or 16 inches and the main debate basically comes down to this.....

in my limited knowledge/researching i've come to the realization that there's a few advantages n disadvantages to both. so i'm not so much worried about those the one thing that's basically subjective to different people though is how much of a difference in ride comfort do these different profile tires vary?

for example say i have a 205/50/15 on my car with STOCK shocks (just for control purposes since everyone has a lot of different aftermarket combinations) and i decide to plus size to a 205/45/16 profile tire.......is the difference in comfort even noticable?

reason being is after havin 17s for so long and feeling every lil crack n whatnot in the road i'm kinda hesistant to go up so slightly on a 16 in tire (45 instead of 40) if it's not gonna be a difference in ride quality between the two compared to a 205/50/15 and i might just suck up my fear of 15's and road clearance, and just get the 15's and call it a day so what doyou think?

205/50/15
or
205/45/16?

By using those two tire sizes, you keep the same aspect ratio (over all diameter of the tire & wheel) The 16 however will be slightly stiffer since the sidewall is a little smaller.

Hope this helps in making your decision
