are they're any shops or other places that do corner balancing for cars to make sure that the suspension is setup up properly. I'm not sure if i'm askin in the appropriate way of what i'm looking for but it's along the lines of making sure that the front right weight is as close to twice the weight as the rear left and vise versa. I was just inquiring because i'm setting up my suspension now i and i heard that this is something that many people tend to over look and it adversly affects suspension performance.
so how much and where to go?
sorry if this question sounds retarded i'll give better info later on when i'm at home and have access to what i read previously.....

are you planning to auto crossing or road racing at TWS? I would not waste my money if your just driving on the street with the houston potholes it will be torn up quickly

call up southwest alignment. they're on the SW side of downtown (obviously).. around all that construction on 59.. that spur 507 or whatever... (I stay awayf rom that area, so I forget what it's called).
I've been to SWA and they do good work.
If you're on the NW side of town, you may also want to call Craig's Auto Repair Service. They're up around 1960 and 249. Ask for John Phillips.. He builds spec miatas and has a few IT class Hondas that he builds, and I've had him work on my car as well. his prices are higher than SWA, but he's very good as well..
Just make sure you have a suspension worthy of the work before you go in to either of these places. Don't call them up with some ebay ricer sleeves on stock shocks and ask them to work on your "coilovers". he'll laugh his ass off and kick you out. ;)

Thanks for all the help guys oh and Matt do you have a ballpark figure of the cost to get this done? and did you have it done on your track car or your DD?

My track car is my DD. :)
Phillips will work on just about anything- it all pays the same- but don't be surprised when he laughs and tells you you're an idiot.
There are several places around town that will do it, but it can get rather expensive.
look at ballpark of $200 for a full cornerbalancing, and another $120 or so for a GOOD alignment to go along with it.

thanks for the info but the setup isn't one i see him laughing at regardless not sayin it's the best of the best but it's respectable none the less. guess i'll look into this once funds are available and after i sort out a few other lil nitches and add a few other pieces to the suspension setup as well.

John Phillips use to do it for about $120 when he worked at Scott's Auto near I10.
The Stafford place is Protechnik.

They charge over twice the amount that John does.

yeah, it's feasible... not cheap, but it's there, and there are some good benefits for cars that see more than daily driving use. (IMO, don't spend the money if it's your DD... only really needed for track use)
as long as you've got GC+ Koni or better setup, then you'll be okay. just don't expect to go in there with some APC or Weapon R "coilovers" and think they're going to work on it.

oh and i have the following setup
Tein SS-P
Energy suspension Hyperflex kit
Ingalls Camber kit the full way around
