I was just wondering what kind of mileage you guys get on a tank in a turbo car. Lately I've been getting about 16mpg and if i'm real good i get about 20mpg. i always hear of guys getting like 28-30mpg and i'm just wondering how the heck you guys are doing it.

How do you only get 16 MPG out of a civic??

you're going into boost too much. out of boost most turbo honda's will get close to stock mpg.

Out of positive manifold pressure, some configurations will result in better than non-turbo fuel economy. I tuned mine to do 25mpg cruising at 75mph. City driving is a different story, but I'm sure I can fine tune that on the Dynapack

Standalones work wonders on mpg. Stay out of boost, check all vacuum lines.

I used to get 26mpg on my old setup. That is if I didn't boost.

i was just wondering what some of you other guys are getting. on the highway i'm fine i get like 26mpg. i guess it's just my lead foot in the city that makes me get 16-18mpg although most of the time i shift at 3.5-4k.

I honestly think I get somewhere in the range of 10-12mpg. Of course my knock sensor is bad and I'm also running a Walbro 255lph on stock injectors w/o any tuning (not even an AFC). Replacing my fuel filter helped my gas mileage but I'm going to try cleaning the injectors, new spark plugs, new wires, new knock sensor (this should help big time), and work on getting at least an AFC in the car. On the flip side my datalogger showed me at a near-perfec A/F ratio under full boost. This is all on stock boost by the way (I have to get my MBC adjusted before I can boost higher).

I'm getting about 19 mpg if I get on it every once in a while. But if I baby it I can get 21-22 mpg.

I can get up to 30 mpg driving slow and just cruising around, but that’s rare and boring. I usually get les than 200 miles to the tank. If you want better gas mileage, lean out your fuel at cruising speeds in each gear. Any decent tuner can do this for you. Other than that, drive slower! :thumb:

jobe spetter from turbo people says on a gen7 with a multi injector setup (8)
is the way to go.
also wheel tire packages will throw miles +- everyones results will differ
the 99-00 si trans is probably the worst for mpg.
but dont take my word give him a call he can point you in the right dir.

my girlfriend gets around 29+ mpg when she is driving conservatively, and around 22 mpg if she is driving like a nut. This is in an eclipse with 550's and a walbro 255 fuel pump.

i get around 28-31 mpg but recently i've been stuck at 24-26. i can get that gas mileage cuz i never spool up the turbo... so that means all my driving takes place under 2500 rpm... :wompwomp: it saves gas tho and i really dont need to b driving fast anywayz so i dont care. i guess i havent been paying attention to my driving as of recently.
