oh God i hope this is in the correct forum if not please move to correct forum and please dont ban me since nothing is sub-stated for a/c problems.

on with the problem. ok i recently did a 99-00 climate control change over to my 97 civic hatch. i believe when changing out the a/c box, and blower and whatever else was taken out i lost freeon. so a/c does not blow cold.

i tryed already putting free-on into the hose/car/whatever and nothing works. the free-on doesnt even go through the hose. could it be because the main hose to the blower is not properly inserted or what?

it still blows air somewhat cold but just letting me know that it works. im also not sure if this could be a wiring problem or something.

my question is what can i do or what can i check to see whats causing for this not to work? (edit: if not do yall know any good a/c shops or any shops pertaining knowledge to this type of situation? if so please leave me a number or shop name and what its off of.)

thanx.

Had the same problem with my car. It's a different car, but the solution could work for you. Check all vacuum lines. I had a vacuum line off a vacuum distributor block, reconnected it, cold air.

did you take out the "ac box, blower" for a reason?

what do you mean the freon doesnt charge? are you hookin up the hose properly to the fill valve?

if freon doesnt pump into the system, the compressor never gets turn on.

what you can do for urself and for the mechanic is to repalce the climate control and check the ac system. try to eliminate one-by-one to ease on urself or the mech.
