I was browsing on Ebay and saw a couple of exhaust manifols for and Mr2, made buy SS AutoChrome. I was wondering if anyone has used these headers before. Even if you didn't use it on and Mr2. Like if you had it on your Civic, Silvia, or etc.

Question #1.
How did it work for you? Give me some details why is worked or didn't work for you.

Question #2
Does anyone no what type of steel SS Autochrom headers use?

mild steel / chrome plated.
all of them crack at the welds. older version where very thin metals. newer ones seem ok though.

work fine but bad part was the flang, the flange on the dump pipe for the T25 was too big

Their manifold failing is not a misconception.

Yeah... it's usually hit or miss with them(usually a miss)...

Do a search on nicoclub.com in ka-t forum. You can read a lot of reviews/discussions about their crap.

well i have only seen 2 guys prove that they're manifolds failed. everyone says they suck but noone seems to prove that they acctually crack. get the new one if your going to get one. think of it as obx, many people bought the lsd diff. on h-t.com and only a couple failed (nothing major). they're good for the price but not as good like others.

Wow Thats a good amount of negative feed back. Say if i were going to get the newer header, How would i determine if it is a new one or old one.

And thanks for everyone that left feedback on the exhaust manifolds.

metal is to thin it would just crack again. the weight of the w/g would cause the flange to break. newer ones have the w/g flange supported

go do a search on turbomustangs.com...that will tell you all that you need to know about them.

i have heard of their T70's having the compressor side fucking glued on and popping along with the honda pattern manifolds cracking.

Looks exactly like what I have seen.
SSAutochrome and Stone Mountain Racing mani's are fkn crap, thin metal and very cheaply produced. I havent really seen their new equal length mani's, but I would just save my money and go with something better... :thumb:

this is after 2 weeks of use. I welded the crack and it broke 3 hours later. Save your money and get a good manifold
