i have a 1999 auto accord....ok well this all started back during spring break.....first my car would take a little more than usual to change gears (1st to 2nd) then one day i was going on tha freeway but when i pushed the gas all the way down my car started shaking BAD it wouldnt pass2 rpm (like 40) so after that i checked the motor oil, tranny fluid and thas about it, everything seemed well. so i chilled on using my car then i used it one more time and it took a while to start (im assuming the battery was becoming dead). and now i was messing with it adn it doesnt start......anyone kno y in tha fuck does my car shake when i try and push the gas all the way? and i havent taken it to a shop cuz ive been kind of in a mess...ill take it to a shop prolly this week, but until then i need help. can anyone help me out please? thanks. i really hope its not my tranny, cuz thas a dent in my wallet, hope its something little like a spark plug or something else....:thumb:

is it a v6 ? if so, it is probably the tranny that went out, alot of honda / acura v6 owners have that problem too, take it back to dealership, they should replace your tranny.

Umm give me some more info on the car, like milage, what has been done to it for maintence and when. Also since you popped your hood to take a look at some stuff did you hear any hissing noises?

I've had a similar problem with my accord, it turned out that the battery was dead and i needed a new one. it will cause your tranny to shift weirdly and to shake when your driving if its pretty dead and you have to jump start it everytime you turn it on. the other idea is perhaps the tranny but to my suprise, a dead battery caused my car to act all kinds of crazy!!.

you mentioned that you had to jump start it so that makes me believe that your battery is dead or has a very low charge.although it may not be the solution... just an idea.
