Ok, let's talk drivetrain. Front wheel, Rear wheel, and All wheel. Aside of the obvious differences lets talk about the advantages to each of these. Preferances. Or whatever. This isn't a discussion of individual cars. Although you can mention it. I am talking about raw advantages and disadvantages to just drivetrain.

I'll start off by saying that I drive a FF (obviously) and a characterstic of that is it supposedly handles corners better then a rear wheel drivetrain so i hear. and of course you can e-brake in a ff.

counter-point.

FF cars understeer like crazy.

FR cars tend to oversteer, but most skilled drivers will tell you: oversteer is better than understeer simply because it is much easier to correct oversteer and keep your speed up through a turn than it is to correct understeer and keep the momentum through a turn.

AWD cars have both. depending on the attitude and speed you enter a turn at and the apex angle you choose the car will either over or understeer. early apex's lead to understeer while late apex's tend to either grip or oversteer.

may sound like a bunch of babble, but its true.
