turbo screeching noise

my stock t25 is making a screeching noise at high rpm, it just started this afternoon. i drove it this morning just fine, then went to go to the store and it started doing it. anyone know what it could be?

yank your intake and take a look... check to see if the compressor wheel is able to touch the compressor housing by softly moving the turbo shaft side to side....or look to see if it has eaten anything large latley. how many miles are on the turbo and are you running higher than stock (for the turbo) psi?

don't know how old. i bought the swap last july. it runs at around 10psi, or 13ish on high boost. but i always run low. i'll yank the intake and check for play. everyone tells me its going out. which is what i want to hear. it just started doing this today. if going out, does anyone know of a good turbo rebuild shop.

Does it still make boost? Usually that screeching sound is the compressor wheel touching the housing. Time for something giant.

i would say if you planning to spend money to rebuild the t25 just put in a few more dimes to get something a lil better....
