There are a couple of ways to tune the car if you have two set ups you like to run...

You can burn 2 chips one tuned on pump gas and one on race gas.

You can tune the system on pump gas, then fill up with race gas and turn the boost up.. you will lose some power on the low boost setting and it may even run like crap but for the most part will work fine.

The fuel and ignition maps cover 30in/Hg to 28psi with the 3 bar MAP sensor.. this means that you DO NOT have to retune if you decide to raise the boost.. Trae can tell you how well it works I know he gets boost happy when he races.

What I generally like to do is tune a car on pump gas to maximum boost for example 12-14psi on a B16.. when that is done you can switch the boost all you want from wastegate spring pressure to 12-14psi. After that we fill the tank with the highest octane that the owner plans to use and tune from 12-14psi to 28psi or whatever the maximum boost level is for that particular set up.

I hope that makes sense.

yea im plannin on it but moneys tight, ya know as most turbo projects are. i want to run like 10-12 on pump gas on the street, and then maybe a little more like 15-18 on the track. I would really like to do both on pump gas, if its possible, for those rare times i have to shut someone up on the street and dont have race gas in the tank. but neways i think u answered my question, if i understand correctly 1 chip can be tuned to handle two different boost settings and then switched between via a boost controller. if thats wrong let me know. thanks for all the help. im sure as this project starts really coming together ill have alot more questions.

we just got in a setup that would be perfect for what you want to do. it's cheap too. if you can afford to do something pretty soon, shoot me or jason a PM. we'll get you fixed up phat yo.
