im not really sure on the concept of running a small shot of nitrous + more boost rather then running c16 and high boost? but can anyone explain to me the ideas on how some people use this setup? or maybe i am just misunderstood?

thanks

used for its intercooling effect. Alot of your BIG turbo dragsters don't run intercoolers, instead opting to spray nitrous instead (cool down the charge temp a LOT). Of Course, there has to be some fuel compensation, but cars like "Tweaked" run a lil' 75 shot I think...you'd have to talk to Lawrence Conley, he could explain it. (I ahd him explai it to me..but I ahve a shitty memory).

i kinda meant street cars with intercoolers not like dragsters and yea more fuel.

Nitrous can be used to make up for a misshift to increase turbo response, however you are still limited to the highest boost level that is safe for the octane of fuel you are running. I would not suggest using nitrous on top of a turbo on pump gas. You will make more power on race gas with more boost than pump gas with nitrous.

He doesn't know what he's talking about. Run a 100 shot with a good amount of boost, say 20-24psi on 87 oct. and watch that thing run it's ass off!

See i was thinking that with my gt40 turbo, i could run 30psi with race gas.
Or run 20psi and a 100shot with race gas, which would make more power?

That's tough. The nitrous is going to give you a broader power band so it's going to be more "useful" but then again you're FWD so that might do you any good. That turbo is big and is definately still efficient at 30psi but it's getting close. If it was me I'd run 24-26psi and a 75 shot to get that turbo going. Because the good this is if you start spinning you just let off the juice and then when you get into a faster speed you hit the button again. JMO but what do I know.

you cant run more juice and hope to turn the boost up safely. you could be thinking of when somone uses juice to spool up a turbo thats too big for either the engine-stall-whatever.

also if your already running a turbo and want to add juice be carefull about the size of the shot vs size of your wastegate.the second you hit the button the volume will increase...alot.... and if the gate cant flow enuff to handle the extra volume of exhaust then whatevers left will over spool your turbo. you could spike the boost and run lean.

Damnit fwd sucks.
Muddy said hes ripping out the interior from the front seats back and caging it...
So pretty much im providing funds for mods and we are building the car. Once i get back into town. Should have a pretty nasty car..
Im still debating on opening up the motor for a nasty rod/piston combo.
