Have any of you had this happen? I was adjusting the ride height of my coilovers this morning and one of the tools that came with them bent!! I was able to get it straigtned out enough to finish the job on the front, but it's really flimsy now.

Is this a manufacture specific tool or can I get it from somewhere else?

IMO i dont think u really need a tool i just use my hands to adjust it

they can be adjusted by hand, but loosening the nuts that hold it place kinda makes it easier, and then tightening them back up so it doesn't go out of adjustment is also kinda nessisary. Plus, to adjust the spring compression level you need the tool, no way to do it otherwise.

i use my hands.. but i had to preload the springs on this teg, they were too soft..
so i used the claw end of a clawhammer to hook it in there, and pull. got the job done.

Looking for the tool itself or "comparable" tool, don't want to rig it and just get by.
probably have to get it from the manufacturer, different coilovers have different collars so different spanner wrenches will probably not work.

does anyone sell a generic spannner wrench that you know of? It seems like a fairly simple enough tool

I had coil overs on my Accord for over a year and I never once used the tool. Just jack up the car and twist them with your hand. It is so much easier that way. But if you need a tool I have one.

yeah, ride height is easy to adjust, spring tension isn't without the tool.
