View Full Version : H23 and dry shot?
My cousin in Tampa is thinking about buying a NX dry kit for his prelude with 80*** miles in it, but he says that some of his friends tell him that he has to upgrade his fuel rail and get a fuel pressure regulator, is this really necesary or its just to get better results. He is thinking to put just a 50 dry shot. Also the car just have basic bolt-ons and stock internals.
Any suggestions on how to make his car fun with NAAAWWWZZZ!!!

NX doesnt make dry kits.
and a 50 shot shoudlnt require ANY mods.
Ohhh ok, so a ZEX kit would be the best instead of a NX EFI kit? How about VENOM kits? never heard a lot about those...
Does anybody ever used any of these kits?....

Why spray dry people!?? spraying dry is how you fuck shit up, believe me. Just spend the extra 30 bux and buy a wet kit, then you won't have to upgrade shit, and you won't have to worry about runnin it lean and having a meltdown.
ohh ok so "wet" is the way to go. But what is the difference on the wet kit? does it goes directly to the fuel rail or what? and will the wet shot require some tuning?I really dont know anything about nitrous and I dont want to misinform my cousin...

Wet kits provide their own fuel (taken from your fuel rail usually). The Wet kits have 2 solenoids, one for juice, the other for fuel. Ands No, no tuning will be required. Just plop in th correct jets, and make sure everything is working, and it's all good. Wet setups are easier to install IMO....less thinking involved.
I was reading on a installation manual for NX kits and it says "In stock engine applications spark plugs should be at least 2 steps colder than stock" What does that mean?:dunno:
Soooo does anybody knows that?^^^^ Also, what is better a WOT switch or a firing button?

colder plugs keep your motor from detonating and melting pistons. if you're a noob at spraying i would go with a WOT switch and a window switch.
