Ok I have a 95 ls vtec motor. the motor used to be in a DA integra with cable tranny. I took the tranny off and bought a Hydro 00 b16 tranny. the motor is going into my EG hatch It has a ACT clutch with pressure plate..but the 00 b16 tranny wont fit inside the spindle hole in the act disc. why is that? is it beacuse the clutch disc is for a cable tranny? I thought they were all the same. my friend has the same block same clutch but he uses a ls hydro tranny. the clutch alignment key is a perfect fit on my motor but on his it has a tiny bit of play in it. Is it because its from a cable tranny? I thought all b series uses 1 1/32x24 for the mesaurement. wth is going on? are b16 clutch discs different from cable ls ones?

Yes they are different! You can use the pressure plate, but the splines on the disc are a little different, between the hydro and cable.

The number of splines is different on cable trannsmisions. Sell that clutch and get one for a hydro tranny.

yeah, you don't want to run an ACT anyways. clutchmasters or competition clutch is a much better option.

oh ic..ill look into those 2 brands...all i need is a disc..do you know any good online stores that sell those clutch discs?

well i have a ls/vtec motor with minor bolt ons and a 8lb flywheel...the pressure plate is act but what disc would you guys recommend? I dont want it to slip on high rpm.

clutch masters man there good clutches iv never had a problem w/ one ever.

all b series pressure plates are the same.if your cable tranny was a 90-91 then thats your problem.90-91 have different splines then a 92-00.92-00 are all the same spline just change out your disc and you'll be fine for a while.but i must warn you using a used pressure plate is is not wise cause the pressure plate has already been heat treated.go a head and replace the whole clutch.thats the best thing to do since the trannys already off.

uh oh..i reused the act pressure plate already...
