yeah. Its a RWD legend (unless something went by me completely) I think they should have left it as a legend, because its pretty damn cool by itself, and (IMO) kind of loses something by being converted into an R34 knockoff. But they did a damn fine job with the bodywork.

did that s13/s15 (the black one w/ rays wheels) win any awards. I think that was my favorite car there. :thumb:

one thing i must say is this car show wasnt all that they only anouced 1st place winners and they only got 50 bux and not only that they only had like 10 car classes if even that, and the way they had all the cars park for the car show was not a very good thing cause tehre wasnt hardly any room to walk around and plus people would be leaning on other peoples cars and leavin greesy hand prints all over but that will happen. and props to all the guys from asaa racing for those that won.

haha thats my dirty white civic next to the ferrari!!! I was being used as a place holder for a Bently from team Ikon that never showed up.

Ok so if u cant guess i was staff at the show( prolly the only girl in a staff shirt running around like there was no tomorrow)... so to address some of things yall have said... I def agree about the parking issue...parking that far away is crazy n trying to give dircetions to everyone... also the way the show car were parked was kinda inconvient... BUT this was just a jumping off show for Transit... we are already planning another event so if u have ideas or somments please feel free to PM me or aim me ( lIl Civic lIl ) with your suggestions.... While HUSH was a great location, we are looking to step it up a bit and get a bigger place with onsite or nearby parking... this will also allow us to keep the teams together ( I think we did a pretty good job of that this time for the teams who were on time)...also trophies will be given out next time around...
Overall I had an awesome time and think it was an awesome show!! Thanks to everyone who came out and made this thing such a blast! :thumb:

the categorys were minimized due to the small turn out-- im not sure why there wasnt any trophys, but this was their first car show so i give them alot of props for a first time show! it was hard fitting all the cars in the parking lot without getting them close to the drifting (which is unsafe) so there wouldnt have been any other way to park the cars, i personally thought it worked out pretty well- as far as second place and third place, again the show was too small, some of the categorys only had one car in the category, 3 categories i believe... compare this to formula drift who only gave out first place trophys and the show was atleast 2 times bigger than this show-- and formula d claimed their show was too small for 2nd place-- just my opinion- i would have not wanted to call out 2nd and 3rd place without having anything to offer them- wouldnt be fair, i was only in charge of judging and picking best in class all other decisions as far as categories ect, was decided by higher authorities who i actually never met lol-- so I think it was a great show for a first show, and alot of great cars!!!

The $50 bucks they gave (when my friend registered they said they were gonna give $100, so they lied about that) and they also said there were going to be 2nd and 3rd place, but they said that 2 and 3 might not get anything, but they still LIED about having the 2nd and 3rd place. For those of you who are happy with $50 bucks, remember to show it cost at least $36, so you make a profit of $14 for placing. I would rather have a trophy then $14. The show was very crooked, and in some categories, the cars that should have won, didn't. It was more of who knows who that won. Club HUSH was pretty nice, but overall, it was a very poor show. They even tried to not give me the guest band, wanted to make more money off of me. Thats all this show was about, making money, without delivering a proper show. Instead they took our money, and shoved 75 cars in 10ft X 10ft, or so it seemed. Final verdict, not going to another one of their shows, waste of money.

well what cars do you felt should have won,and why. Im not asking for this to be a drama post, i just dont see why you are so mad about the show. remember it was their first ever show. it will get better, im sure of that. I am not going to mention which cars should have won, I think overall the cars that deserved it got it, BUT in a couple of the wins, the wrong car got it, and I know it was only because of the group that they showed with. And second, it might have gone well for a first show, BUT just because it was the first show, doesn't mean that they can try to rip me off, by not giving me my guest band. Trying to make another $20 from me. And I see that you didn't even respond to my other comments of how they said the payoff for first place was $100, and they only gave $50. And you are happy about the show cause you won. lol.

Hey just though i'ed set the record straight for ya...
There were no other places awarded cause the show was really not big enought to get into all that. And as fat as the prizes being changed from what u were told... Well that was the projected prize amount... if u look on the fliers is says cash prizes.. and didnt list a peticualre price cause we unsure of the amount of cars that would show... Also if u realy wanted a trophy u might have wanted to look again to the flier where (as i said before) It states CASH PRIZES... Had a good time, and have to give props for a first show.

Constructive criticism:
-Id like to see at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place called out cause some people did wonderful jobs and should of got some kind of recognition. I understand at this show the turn out wasnt very large, so this is a scenario matter.

-Trophies and cash would be prefered by many. 50 bucks is cool as a first place prize, but something for rememberance (dont know if thats a word) would have been nice too.

-An agenda sheet would have been helpful and some better announcement system. I completely missed out on the bands and some other things, I think an agenda sheet would be a good idea. Not asking for specific times, but at least put an interval when things might begin.
ex. Live performances begins between 2:00-2:20.

-More classes is something i would like to have seen. Instead of having best honda, there could of been best civic, best accord, best jdm honda,etc.. amd cant forget best team representation. You guys get the idea. It gives a bigger possibility of winning, and pulling more people out to the shows. I understand again there wasnt a large amount of show cars, but at the next show there should be a better turn out.

Had a great time at the show guys. BIG BIG THANK YOU GO OUT TO AROLDO AND NICK who put the show together. Good judging by the head judge kimo, and his 2 other judges. Next time shall be top notch.

a huge thank you goes out to all that came to support the first ever transit show. in my opinion, the show was awesome and so were the people who showed up.

a select few were undoubtedly going to bitch and complain, but there were bound to be certain problems and mishaps as it was the VERY FIRST show. hopefully the transit crew will improve as they go and i'm sure they will.

to those who spoke out about how ugly or broke the models looked and questioned about where the import modeling industry has gone, well, i partially agree with you guys. yes, i believe that any fucking girl can be a so-called import model no matter how busted-looking she is because, frankly, it's all in the people you know. it's sad, but what can we do. however, i don't know about you guys, but i think SOME of them deserve a bit of credit for what they do. some of them aren't as bad as you may think and, well, some actually are.

nonetheless, i would like to thank aroldo and nick for having me out there and i'm happy i could help in the slightest little way with certain things. i had a blast and i can't wait 'til next time.

cutting infront of everyone and throwing random exhibition runs was fucking gay... people came out from Austin, Louisiana, and other places so they could pay 50 bucks and slide... not watch other people drift... yes i understand that they helped throw the event and they should get special privledges, but going out there for 30min bursts and not stopping til the tires popped or crash into a fence is uncalled for... watching the elcamino and is300 was badass, but that could have been done after the event when everyone was done or waited inline just like everyone else...sorry to say but this was one of the worst events i have been to... i was expecting much more for my 50bucks.. :yeahno:

thanks alot for being a fair judge... ive been to numerous shows and the judges that i have encounterd im glad you judged... ive had judges who were 16... ive had judges who dont know shit about cars and still judging... ive had judges who are with teams that are showing... this car show i looked at the two judges kimo and the other guy witht he honda tech shirt... and honestly these judges did the right way... its been a long time that ive seen a judge take his/her finger and swipe it under the fender,behind the rim... they went into detail... GOOD JOB GUYS...
and as for ppl thinkin that ASAA RACING got these trophies just cause they are a sponser or what not... well NO... we brought out at least 30 cars joined with SELECT AUTOMOTIVE... we all had fun the show was good other then a couple of other things but its all good its their first show...

shout out to aroldo and nick: you boys did a good job on this show... it was a big responsibility and shows are not easy to throw... not every one can throw a show...

the first show always has some bugs in it, but im glad to see shows that actually have the cars moving and doing things rather than a bunch of cars that merely sit there and look pretty.

Any kind of motorsports is going to have its problems and difficulties in setting up.

Every show has a difficult start.
what separates the good from the bad is how they address the problems the next time they come around. With a new format such as this youre bound to have problems, it just happens.
As long as people had some fun and some laughs and saw a few hot girls its all good :)

I will vouch for kimos dedication to a fair car show. I wont disagree that Huns car was best of show either. it was the best car at the show,period.the politics of shows just saddens me, BUT this show was very fun and happy bc there were no politics. I mean seriously everyone from every crew there got along great from what i saw. and thats what makes a show to me. the atmosphere,not who wins or blah blah blah. All these ppl complain but VERY few are willing to help out at shows or even hold their own. The only way we can ever progress is to work TOGETHER. key word TOGETHER. im not bitching at anyone,not blaming anyone. my personal goal for the past 3 years has been to try to revive the Tx scene. If we ALL do our part we can bring back all the good times everyone misses. I think this show was fun and i am overly critical about everything. If this show was not done well BELIEVE me id be the first to start bitching but fact is, I have nothing to complain about at all. It was fun. The drifting was cool, The people were cool. I just dont see how ppl can complain yet not take it up with the officials of the show.???

yeah i agree... i expected more runs for my 50 bucks. it was cool in the at first but after a while it got really unorganized. heat 1 was out there for like an hour and then heats 2 and 3 had to go at the same time. and those showoff runs... it was cool watching the camino and the is300 for the first 2-3 times but everything else sucked. :eyesjack:

I can understand that you guys were pissed about the way that the whole drifting thing went, however, you have to understand that we (dailydrifter) were not fully in control of everything that was going on. The show organizers had us move cars all around, made us stop running cars, told us we could and couldnt drive in certain areas, made us stop running cars, made us wait for delivery guys and stop running cars, made us wait for a fire drill and stop running cars, made us wait for a "booty shaking contest" and stop running cars, and also seriously restricted our grid space.

I admit the event could have been better organized, but the timing issue was not our fault. I was timing the heats, and with the exception of the first group, everyone got 25 to 35 minute run groups when they did run. Towards the end of the day it just got so packed from all the show cars and spectators that all of our event structure kind of fell apart.

I can absolutly GUARANTEE that these types of things WILL NOT HAPPEN at any of the dailydrifter events at either San Antonio Raceway or Gulf Greyhound Park. You WILL leave one of those events with PLENTY of seat time, no doubt about it.

Please do not judge our events based on the events that we throw in conjunction with car shows, we are asked to put on the drift events at these shows, and have to go by their rules. So far, we have not had an event thrown in conjunction with another group that has turned out anywhere near as good as the standalone events that we throw.

this car show i looked at the two judges kimo and the other guy witht he honda tech shirt... and honestly these judges did the right way... its been a long time that ive seen a judge take his/her finger and swipe it under the fender,behind the rim... they went into detail... GOOD JOB GUYS...


I was the guy in the Honda Tech Shirt judging some of the cars. And I do appreciate your compliments. I judged people's cars they way I would want my own car judged. I really hope that I can be a judge at other events here in Houston. I have paid my fair share of show car registrations, and to not have my car judged the way I expected really killed me. I look forward to being able to do that again...I quite enjoyed interacting with the owners of the cars and talking to them about their rides. Some of you guys are funny as hell. lolz!1 :thumb:

a huge thank you goes out to all that came to support the first ever transit show. in my opinion, the show was awesome and so were the people who showed up.

a select few were undoubtedly going to bitch and complain, but there were bound to be certain problems and mishaps as it was the VERY FIRST show. hopefully the transit crew will improve as they go and i'm sure they will.

to those who spoke out about how ugly or broke the models looked and questioned about where the import modeling industry has gone, well, i partially agree with you guys. yes, i believe that any fucking girl can be a so-called import model no matter how busted-looking she is because, frankly, it's all in the people you know. it's sad, but what can we do. however, i don't know about you guys, but i think SOME of them deserve a bit of credit for what they do. some of them aren't as bad as you may think and, well, some actually are.

nonetheless, i would like to thank aroldo and nick for having me out there and i'm happy i could help in the slightest little way with certain things. i had a blast and i can't wait 'til next time.

Thanks guys! :thumb: But my car was one of the last ones to get judged AND when they did come around to judge it...i feel they did a sorry job. The judged took one walk around my car and then took off. Didn't ask questions about anything...no nothing! Yeah it was their first show and all but i feel they could of done a whole lot better. BUT Congrats to all the winners...good job...i ain't gonna let ONE loss hurt me.

ok first of all this show was our first and those who won should have one. as for the avenger your car was good but you had minor imperfections here and there that lost the 1st place grab. and i,nick, judged your car many times before. but yea i dont think anyone here knows how hard it is to throw a car show. its not just find a spot and put some cars in it. this was the fairest carshow i have seen. i made sure of it. things do need some improvement and thats why there are forums like this so me and Aroldo can take in your suggestions(NOT COMPLAINTS) to have a better carshow. and to those that supported us and had a great time THANKS we at Transit really appreciate you all.Peace

i agree with R34 Accord. that show was kinda stupid. The $50 bucks they gave (when my friend registered they said they were gonna give $100, so they lied about that) and they also said there were going to be 2nd and 3rd place, but they said that 2 and 3 might not get anything, but they still LIED about having the 2nd and 3rd place. For those of you who are happy with $50 bucks, remember to show it cost at least $36, so you make a profit of $14 for placing. I would rather have a trophy then $14. The show was very crooked, and in some categories, the cars that should have won, didn't. It was more of who knows who that won. Club HUSH was pretty nice, but overall, it was a very poor show. They even tried to not give me the guest band, wanted to make more money off of me. Thats all this show was about, making money, without delivering a proper show. Instead they took our money, and shoved 75 cars in 10ft X 10ft, or so it seemed. Final verdict, not going to another one of their shows, waste of money.

I think that she deserved it, every car show that i am at, and ones that she has gone up against the blue cougar, she has won. HUSH was a very nice club, glad to see them supporting car events. And yes, I am thrown a few car shows, and been involved in organizing many. You guys said a few things that you shouldn't have, unless you are going to back it up, like the whole paying $100, which someone told me (Nick I think), and I even asked him if its a guaranteed $100, and he said yes. In the end they paid $50. It didn't surprise me. :yeahno:

i personally didnt look at any of the domestic cars, they were done by another judge-- ive seen the avenger before, i think the judge looked at alot of the way the car flowed, and how clean certain things were installed--

if its compared to other shows i cant vouch for other shows, but i do know i judged fair and decided fairly-- not everybody can win...

I was not responsible for judging the Avenger either. I did judge the cougar however so I know that the competition was quite stiff. But I feel I judged it fairly so in the end the person who won was the right person.
