I have a gsr tranny on my ls/vtec and it's great.
It all depends on what your plans are for your car/ motor.

B16 or type R transmission is the best.

go b16 b/c its the vest deal for your money it has no lsd u can pick one up cheap 350 - 450 for cable and around 500 for hydrualic its got close gears for racing and the 440 final drive lets u still have sum mileage on the highwayand if u need lsd u can still add it later or just drop in a type r differential but it will effect highway driving

b16 put you into about 5k rpm while cruising at 80... i run a gsr ecu, vtec kick in at 4400 i beleive, which suck ass! not to mention how much gas is now.

but overall, the tranny is nice for racing indeed.

the si/itr have the same gear ratios

the ratios from short to long goes, short gearing is better for an LS/V setup.

type r is best. it is built better then a b16 has the same gears(unless it is a jdm 98 up i beleive) and has standard limited slip. also at 80 its only 4500 rpms. i have had both and that was my rpm when on the highway at 80. :thumb:

I have the B16 cable tranny from 92 DA with lsd added and the ls/v loves it
the DA tranny is better than CRX b16 because 3rd pulls on the crx one
