I know i'm gonna catch some heat for this but I like Van Gundy as a coach.Everyone attacks him for trades and such but it's not like high school where the head coach alone has the say on if you make the team or not.There are other people involved in that.I've never been a rockets fan because of the decisions that team management makes (trades, etc.) but I do think that this team will come together in time and be pretty damn good.They're just trying to put all there peices toghther for a team that they think will work.

They're not that deep in the hole, atleast they're 3rd in the Southwest, Western Conference. It's time to step it up or wait for another year to try for it again.

As much as I like Jimmy and Boki, I think this trade is an improvement. Wesley can shoot just as good as JJ, plus he can shoot off the dribble (Around picks, etc.). I've rarely seen JJ shoot off a screen, but more of set shot when he's open. Flame me or not, but if you give Padgett some more minutes to play in JJ's position, he's just as good a shooter, so that shouldn't be a problem. Bowen can be a pretty good defender off the bench because he hussles. My thoughts on what the lineup should be:

C - Yao/Mutombo
PF- Howard/Taylor
SF- Padgett/Bowen
SG- Mcgrady/Wesley
PG- Sura/Barry/Barrett/Ward

Plus, the majority of those players can interchange positions, so that's a big positive.
Now if we can trade Charlie Ward and Juwon Howard for a better PF, the Rockets should have a very strong roster. Just me 2 cents.
