Astros made an offer of 6 years/$96 million to Beltran yesterday. Either way I win because I am a yankees fan too. :wrd:

fucken Stienbrener and his bottomless pockets. If the bottom line for Beltran is money and thats his main thing then were not gonna get him back, cause I can garentee the yankees will out bid us. Also, if we cant make a deal by the 11th then we are gonna loose him cause I think thats like the last time we will even be able to talk to him till like May.

and agreed, Bagwell needs to pass on the tourch, cause if we had beaten St. Luis Beltran would have easily gotten MVP for that series, and if we had somehow pulled off a miracle and won the world series im pretty sure he would have gotten MVP there too

I hope they keep him :cross: oh and Andy Petite went to Target back when I worked there during spring, me and a friend carried shit out for him and said it was cool to have him in Houston. He pretty much ignored our statement and didn't even tip. WTF? But I'm still glad he is in a Houston uniform. Sorry got a little off topic.

i agree but there are still a lot of people that LOVE baggie and want him to stay. he has a lot of fans and a lot of people go to the games to see him. i think he's an awsome defence player but he's just not hitting anything anymore.

The Astros have until Jan. 8 to re-sign Beltran. After that, they must cease negotiations with the 27-year-old until May 1, which would essentially end Beltran's stay with Houston

In that meeting, Beltran made it clear to McLane he wouldn't continue considering teams that offer anything less than a seven-year contract.

so clearly you are wrong 5plusjuan
