On behalf of the members on Houston-Imports who enjoy reading his posts. Why is he no longer a moderator and at the point of leaving this forum as a whole? If it came down to only having 10 members on this site he'd certianly be one of them. His posts while sometimes being harshly directed towards someone also share a great amount of information and much can be learned from him. I've found his moderating judgment very fair to everyone, I know several other moderators will agree with me on this. Please don't let go of an OG :( :(

F**king werd. It would suck to lose him as a mod on these forums. I believe if you're going to take away a major helpful contributer to H-I you should atleast explain to the rest of us why. Don't let a few bad apples keep us from enjoying the good ones.

i think he did a fantastic job moderating. if he goes, well its sad to see another og off the boards due to the flock of noobies ravaging this once peaceful, small, lovely board.

it's not really the n00bs...it's the fact that this board has so little to do with cars anymore.
half the people on here aren't even really interested in anything automotive they just came for the porn...an integral part of my own vision for the utopian site.
I like cars. I wish we talked about them more, I also wish we posted more pictures of them.
I like having high traffic in the car pics forum because it's one of the forums I spend the most time in, browsing rides and opinions in search of what new styles are coming out.

Freaking word. It seems that the car pictures forum has very little attention paid to it. And some idiots that do post there do nothing but provide negative comments to anyone who posts a car they don't like. Donnell is doing the best as he can given the amount of BS that goes on in there but you can't expect him to save the forum...

I mod it right now. You can't force people to like the cars, but you CAN provide a good example by providing constructive criticism.
I used to do that all the time and now people have followed suit by saying "I would do this" or "I like that, but I would have done it like this" instead of "OMG YOU DRIVE UGLY POS!"
you lead by example.
It's hard for some people to lead by example because they don't post often. If someone is saying somethign dangerous or hurtful, it is best to bring it up in the open so they dont feel like you are threatening them or entering their "personal space" and be nice about it.
The thing about internet message boards is that it is VERY easy to see how bandwagons start. The hate bandwagon is the worst of them all :(
Some forums require intense modding: a motorcycle is a dangerous vehicle and if people are not practicing safe techniques it is important to make the bandwagon be one of safety.
there are enough forums full of riders who love to speed and stunt on the street, I think it would be nice to see a nice group of people getting along and not taking things too seriously and not taking criticism to heart.

I don't want to step into the middle of this, but I have a suggestion and damnit I'm going to say that I want the board to start taking it's place in the scene more seriously.
We have become a destination for many 15 year old boys to point their browsers to with lotion and tissues in hand. I think that may partly explain it.
See who posts in the lounge frequently...then see who the problematic users are.
I rarely go into there but I had a serious question once and was amazed to see problem causers running rampant in there.
then go into a car related forum: see a complete lack of trouble makers.
I just say what I see!

they can have their opinion, and I will keep mine: their opinion SUCKS! lol.
I think people like seeing stock cars with a lot of power, or stockISH cars that LOOK like they make big power.
a lot of the guys with big power don't look fast at all. some of them even look ricey!
to quote an old offspring song: "It's cool to hate!"

the decision is made.
it is nice that donnell has a lot of supporters and there never was any doubt that donnell is very compentent in regards to automotive performance or motorcycles.
however, due to recent events and his past history of coming down hard on people who do not agree with him, (if you dont believe me look how many times donnell has been part of a flame war) he has been removed as mod.
this decision is not open to discussion. it is done and now it is time for us to move on.
if you wish to make any comments IM me personally.
