How about not drifting on the streets? Thats even more retarded than racing on the streets, why just run into traffic?
Go to the next Grind event.

well, the real drifters, and the guy in the porsche who brought 1 set of tires and sat there on a trailer all day, and the honda with the 15's on it...
just cause you pay someone 50 dollars to drive around their parking lot for a few hours doesn't make you a real drifter.

hi captain no comprende ! what i said was
"the REAL drifters are going to events, not being a homo highschooler "drifting" on the street"
what i did NOT say was
"everyone that ever goes to an event can drift and should be in FD next year"
and fyi, the guy in the porsche accidently locked his keys in the car when he was getting ready to take it off the trailer.

The real drifters are the ones doing it for fun, when and where they can, i.e. the street alot. I solo2, and clubrace, but i still run the shit outta the back roads does that make me not a real road racer? I do it because i enjoy it not to judge others on there rides and who they are.
You go to driftevents do you enjoy it? if so then your a drifter
DO you do it on the street? do you enjoy that? if so yeah your a drifter
It dosent matter see remember when you first got into cars it was all about just making your car an expression of you and drifting is in all ways that much of an artform your expressing your self. So wheather you express yourself at a "EVENT" or on the street your still doing what you love so please,
lay off and let people have there fun, they are grown and they know what can happen to them if they wreck or what ever, let them decide what is best for them and stop trying to be mommy and daddy,.

im not tryign tobe mommy or daddy. im just not a fan of the "drifters" that never contribute to keeping the real drift scene goign.
we used to have weekly drift meets. that ended. why? nobody showed up.
we used to have monthly events. that ended. why? nobody showed up.
now we have an event in san antonio, is texasdrift even here anymore? and monthly or bi-monthly dailydrifter events. and its the same 20 peopel that show up to all of them. and sooner or later at the rate were going the handful of houston drifters arent gonna have anywhere to practice or showcase thier skills in a place that matters, on the track. do you see where my post is coming from now? k, thanks.

you cant just have 2 drift events and then give up because nobodys showing up. drifting hasnt even really gotten popular yet, and when it does, im sure people will be flocking to go and try to "drift" legally. there will be alot more highschoolers there than drifting on the street.
street drifting is what i like to do for fun, if another event comes around, i might sign up, but what are you supposed to do? only drift at drift events? :roflmao: i drift whenever/wherever i can.

hey retard, dailydrifter has been putting on events for darned well over a year. the 1st couple events i went to back int eh day were packed, then it seemed like everyone realized 1) it took some practice and skill to learn how to drift and more than 1/2 them gave up. now were having an event in san antionio. why? last HOUSTON event was almost moer attended by san antonio/austin people came than houston people almost.
get your facts straight next time.

Don't get me wrong I love to drift and I do alot, but the more closed the environment is the harder it is not break stuff my friend and I both have FRs but I learned from his mistakes he would take me drifting in his car before i had mine and there were a couple times he would slam into curbs and screw his car so learn from your idiot friends and drift in parking lots or on wide, desserted, curbless roads late at night.

Dude its awsome that you did your first drift. Sand makes it alot easier. So dont get use to that. When you take it to a eveent it wont be the same. And for the people that are telling you to take it to the street dont worry about them :eyesjack: . Just have fun and keep it safe. Go to events they are even more exciting than sand drifting :thumb:

I did it on Old Richmond, its a little street from which there is a way from HWY 6 and then when you make a right on it then i went upto 60 mph and turned the steering wheel to the left and my car was just going sideways for about 45 feet into my neighborhood. Also Old Richmond is a two way street and only one lane each side and on each of the sides there is a ditch that is about 5 feet deep. LOL

ive known a guy to hit a wall and say "that was awesome!" and ive came within inches of poles many many times. most of which i was sitting on the door. all that matters is when you screw up, you keep going. stupid or not, legal or not, all that matters is that your having fun. but always remember that when you do something good....the bad will always follow

for those of us who don't have the $$$ for tires, drifting in the rain and the sand is a plesant experiance for you and your tires.
BTW I think drifting in the sand is bad 4 ur car ex. sand + intake + diff breather + bearings = a pissed car
