Did anybody see the article in Hot Rod magazine about the El Camino that won the falken drift event? Its in the brand new issue. It talks about him winning the event getting sponsored by goodyear and getting a new ls1 motor and stuff. Pretty cool break for a hometown guy!

taht was at irwindale, we had jsut done a rear disc brake swap off a 4th gen fbody using a wilwood proportioning valve. it didnt work very well at all as far as bias, the front was getting little to no clamping force while the rears would lock up instantly when you pushed the pedal. we were also having lots of cooling probelms with the blown ls1 and the radiatior we were usign at the time.

the car is ok (el camino never was my cup of tea) but I watched the guy that drives it at that drift event on halloween, and he has some pretty nice skills. And the V8 sounds nice.
and of course he gets bonus points for having a unique car.

Man, they should do the S15 conversion to the elcamino!

there was a hardbody on bags and 18's on ebay right around the time that sport compact car article came out that introduced the world to the sr20. It had a red top, t3/t4 hybrid, and JWT goods and he was claiming high 11's with slicks.
