Hey guys, I am doing a paper for college on the MR VS STi performance. It will come down to numbers at the end not driver's skill. Although I will probably incorporate this statement into my paper somewhere.

I know alot of you dont like the MR cause its overpriced for lack of improvement, but please let that not make its way into this thread. I really dont want this to turn into a flame war over which is better for practical reasons. I am only here for facts on pure performance factors.

If you do not know an answer to a question or are unsure of its answer please feel free to input your comment but mention that you are unsure or not entirely positive. This will help keep tension down.

Also, if you could leave this thread open I will be using this URL as a source for my paper. In otherwords the technical guru's here will be my sources as well :).

I have some questions regarding both cars. I know alot more about the 4G63 then I do STi's so. I have a post on the big STi sites, as well as EvoM.net. Although with the replies I will get here, chances are they will not be as biased.

1) What is the engine code for the STi?
2) How moddable is the STi's engine compared to the 4G63?
3) Does anyone know places with NON biased reviews of both the MR and the 05 STi? Preferably detailed.
4) Does anyone know of any professional project Evo MR cars? Does anyone know a few professional STi project cars?

I will have some more specific questions later that I will tack onto this thread to prevent clutter. Once again, my instructor will be viewing this thread, so please keep it clean :), atleast to an extent hehe.

EDIT: I am also searching previous threads as well, but I am lacking time and there I have alot of threads in many other forums to cover. Please forgive me mods.

I think you are going the wrong route with your essay.

You are getting too technical and detailed. Unless it's for an auto mechanics class, you need to write it in a way that appeals to a larger audience.

It would be the same thing as a girl writing ten pages on the differences between Mary Kay and Avon.

I got all my info, save for the engine code which I have now heheeh. Thanks!

This thread can RIP now :).
