Help on a ae86 gt-s

im about to purchase a a986 corolla ae86 gt-s. when i saw the car nothing was wrong except ocasionally when u try to start it you would have to push it back wards to get momentum and then it would crank then start. does anyone know the problem?

What do you mean by 'push it backwards'? If it runs fine after starting then I would check the battery and starter first.
