Why would you want to?
that would just hurt your performance, look stupid, and accelerate tire wear.
Standard on the 240 was a 195 tire, with a 205 on the sport package cars (which had the same wheels). I would not go larger than that. There is no appreciable different in the performance or foot print with a 215, and anything bigger than that and you are defintely going to get some cupping, which reduces your foot print, reduces your performance, makes your car feel like its wallowing (it will prolly roll onto the sidewalls during hard cornering) and will wear the edges of your tire out faster.

those 240 steelies are for a sentra which use 215 stock, my question is will 215 fit in those steelies?

6" would be stupid. 6.5, it would be ok... my m30 came stock with 6.5" wheels and 215's...

so, theres your answer. they'll fit either way but if your steelies are 6" you might want to find a skinnier tire.
