alright, i have a delima (sp?)

i may have the opportunity to become one of the first in houston to get a LancerEVO.

heres the problem....

im mormon and im goin on a mormon mission in about a year. so i can get an evo now and in about a year give it to my mom and let her daily drive it for 2 years while im gone, or i can wait til i return from my mission and get a new car then. if i wait the choices will be a bit more open, LanEVO, STi, 350Z something along those lines.

try and put yourself in my shoes and gimme some advice, cause i dunno what to do

dont ever buy a car without driving it.

id be driving a 1.8T....and after i drove one i realized it was completely the opposite of what i liked...nice car but DEFINITELY not my type.


drive first...dont buy the lanevo without driving it.

I say wait....In time they'll be cheaper Evo's around when you get back and lots of aftermarket support in the US instead of everywhere else in the world.

the evo will be a new platform, all new platforms have bugs... my advice is to wait the 3 years you'll be gone, then while your gone keep a good record of reviews and tech bullitins on the 3 or 4 your lookin at... whichever's track record has the fewest blemishes. go with that.
