TSP performance, are you the one with the turbo Tundra on tundrasolutions?
I saw that you were selling the turbo kits for the tundra's on your site.
you ever open that shop over in the Meadows area? I drove by that little strip once and awhile but have not seen any shop.

You have to remember that the car you ran (depending on if it is an auto or manual) will run a 12.8 - 12.9 BONE stock! With just the mods you listed, he could be closer to 12.5. If he has anything more than that (headers, pulley, gears, ect..) he could be looking more towards the low 12's. For you to actually hang with him that far is an accomplishment. Congrats...

MAKES MOST STAND ALONE UNITS LIKE THE SDS OR THE ELECTROMOTIVE UNITS A BIG WASTE OF DOUGH. THE UNICHIP CAN BE INSTALLED AND TUNNED IN A NATURALLY ASPIRATED CAR LIKE A HONDA FOR UNDER 1300 BUCKS AND HAVE FULL TUNEABILITY OF THE STOCK ECU. THERE IS NO NEED FOR MAPING ALL NEW TABLES . IN COMPARISON YOU SAVE 2000 DOLLARS AND HAVE A RACING TUNNED CAR. LET ME KNOW WHO IN HOUSTON NEEDS PROFESSIONAL TUNNING AND I WILL HELP. I think it's very rare to hit 12's in a stock trans am (LS1).
Most times I've seen are right at 13 flat with a 2.0 60 foot with the stock tires. Post some data ZAngel, maybe I'm wrong.

LS1s will go 12s stock.. God damn some of you people on this board are ignorant. There have been quite a few Z28s to do it stock.. Not SS's... Z28s!!! Come on people.. My hardtop Vette is capable of doing 12.5s or 12.6s @ 111-113mph... STOCK! Its all driver.. Most Joe Shmoe can barely get these fuckers in the 13s.. Put a good driver in and you will see where the LS1 shines...

Theres no difference in the anniversary editions other than a paint job. A z28 actually weighs less than an SS and the Factory Ram Air doesnt really make a difference.
Trust me there are plenty of stock LS1's that have hit 12's. Go read any Mustang and Fast Fords issue tested an LS1Camaro. Every one they tested they were able to hit 12's with.

Every 6 speed LS1 is capable of running a high 12 BONE STOCK. An auto is a little different because of the 2:73 gears, which slows it down alot. All an auto needs is a converter and gears to be a low to mid 12 second car. I guess it is all in the driver. These kids that have never stepped foot behind a manual tranny of course aren't going to do very well. It is normal to see a stock 6 speed LS1 of any year in the 12.8-12.9 range. Auto's of any year are usually in the 13.0-13.2 range. Of course the newer models are going to go faster because they came from the factory with the upgraded LS6 intake, which knocks off a few tenths because of the massive increase of flow. If you would like more references and examples, please read LS1tech.com.

I don't understand why people think there is such a big difference. The only difference between a SS and a Z28 is SLP exhaust, suspension upgrades, a SS hood and a wing. The exhaust really isn't much better than stock. The motors are the exact same! Same goes for the Formula vs. the T/A. The look is the main difference but the weight of the extra items make up for the aftermarket part loss on the other. Your best bet would be to go in the opposite direction and get the 1LE package. This is the most basic of the Z28's but it is very light just as fast, if not faster than the SS.... To me, the SS badge means nothing! That is just like saying the WS6 is so much faster than the T/A... for those that enjoy paying so much more... bad news, they got jipped!

I mean come 'on, I drove a bone stock '00 WS6 to a 13.2 @ 109.9 MPH. And we all know how bad I suck with the stick.
I'd also put 100 bucks down that says I could've gotten that car into the 12.9/12.8 range. It was a very hot night, and nobody was getting any traction off of the line.

Yup, put a good driver behind the wheel of any 6 spd ls1 w/ some nice weather and good track prep and it's pretty easy to knock down a 12 sec. pass. Most people can't drive them worth a flip so of course they aren't gonna have any good times....

NOW, running a 12.99 or better in a bone stock LS1 car isnt a feat that just anybody can achieve. You must have a damn good driver and a 6 speed car. All the planets must be inline, and all conditions must be perfect. I can tell you for sure though, that any stock LS1 car, except for some convertibles, will turn low 13's with ease, as long as you dont sit and burn out on the line upon take off.
As far as the WRX VS LS1, with a decent driver, a LS1 car will destroy a WRX, even with the better launch. 14.2 VS 13.4...big difference.

Well, if you ever went to a Chevy/Pontiac dealership when they were selling the two the salesmen guy always made it clear the ram-air was about 30hp faster. Now, if this is true, that is a lot of good power just coming from a hood. Your saying that it makes no difference? You make it sound like having nostrils in the hood with a spoiler adds several hundred pounds.
So what your getting at is that Chevy and Pontiac mislead customers with the SS package? And i've yet to see a time-slip scanned.

I was with "WRX-rated" last week and we raced an SS with a lot of modifications going from about 50. The SS pulled by a few cars, but not very hard once we hit about fourth gear.
I honestly believe with a chip, we would have been neck and neck. This SS was a couple years old with a dork driving it, who, like a fag, decides to wave at us like hes about to smoke us. That didnt happen...

If WRX-Rated would like to step up to the plate with my bone stock, to the K&N Filter 2000 Vette I'll be more than happy too. I will even get it on video for everyone to see.
According to Chevy the SS should have about the same amount of HP as a Corvette because of the less restrictive exhaust and now the use of the SLP Lid. Im not going to say Im a bad ass driver, but I feel that I am a decent driver..

I don't care what the sales people at the dealership say about these cars. Those guys have no clue about what they are selling. I have asked a few of the sales people questions and they couldn't answer anything that I already knew myself from working on these cars. They are told what to say, anything out of that area.. they have no clue about. The SS is the same motor as the base model. It had an aftermarket company put a limited exhaust (a bit better than stock) on the car. If you take a base model and add an aftermarket exhaust just like the SS, you have the same car without the suspension, hood and wing. You aren't going to see a big difference stock vs. stock. How do I know this? ... probably because I have worked on these cars since day one, drove each of these cars and so forth. When my car was stock, I lined it up against another stock SS and we were dead even. Dyno numbers are pretty even also. I wouldn't say that they mislead because our cars were already under rated to begin with.
Then again, you are the same person that called BS on me when I said I beat the sports bike!

Let me let you in on a little secret ok? Everybody knows what I have, because I tell them! Intake, exhaust, cam...thats it! Stock rear end, stock gears, stock heads, stock shortblock! It's no super stroker with stage 15 heads like some people think.

Ya'll who? Are you talking about me? No one knows what I run. I don't make up times... I just don't talk about the things I have done nor do I talk about the times that my car runs. I am sure some people think they know what all I really have done to the car, and that is all fine and dandy. I have never tried racing any stock import unless it was for fun and they were my friend. I just don't think that would be fair and that is obvious. If people want to run me for money, that is great. If they want to run me for fun, that is fine also. At this point, I really don't care as long as I can race!
