Houston Drifters, come one come all anyone one who like to do it sideways.
im working on a Houston Drifters Meet around clear lake area. more info on the location of the meet and time and date. i was thinking around sept 24th, or oct 1st.

clear lake is a horrible place for that. they don't take kindly to any form of racing/gathering. good luck.

clear lake is a horrible place for that. they don't take kindly to any form of racing/gathering. good luck.
ive already asked for permission to use this parking lot as log as we don't do any burnout's no revving ext same rules apply as any other meet. but we have GT3 in the back of the truck to play he he he. i will post more info as soon as i get back from asking the owner if the property. :thumb:

I think he meant as just a meet place not a place to drift and i think the person he asked said no :(

my friend and i are already in a drift team. MY friend had competed in the 1000 dollar drift competition in humble a few months ago. He made it in the top 16, but didn't advance cause it started raining on his top 4 run. You know, its dry in a 10 square inch area then it is really wet 1 foot over. That one guy that competed in D1 in houston came with his El Camino.

I couldn't compete cause my 240 wasn't running.

The competition was at Humble Civic center. I'm sure you could talk to them about renting out the parking lot.

i highly doubt we are gonna use that parkin lot again, Gulf Grey Hound Park is the home of DailyDrifter :thumb:

would you please use that parking lot again. i hate the drive all the way out to Gulf greyhound. From humble it like an hour and 15 min.

lol i live in willis so realy come on.. lots of ppl have to drive to this event its not close but its legal.. Im sure ppl would come to your drift event if it was closer and you had one.. I would go to both

We have drift meets at Houston Raceway Park on Friday Nights. You can also do 1/8th mile drag racing.

5 bucks to hang out. 10 bucks to drive...

next drift meet at HMP is on the 24th and I'm not sure what the price is going to be. Not enough people going out to drift so they have to jack up the price.

Be nice if they just kept the 20 buck admission for drag and drift....why added cost? I know they restricted V8 cars from going that night, which is lame. Some of the best drifters i know are V8 powered. :(

I think in general they might raise the price to cover cost. I don't own the place so I don't really get to say. They just tell us the entrance fee and we spread the news. But yea it would be nice to keep it at $10 like it was for a while :thumb:

There's really not too many v8's drifting. Specially in our area. The only good ones I know of are Derrik in the El Camino\Z08\and a camaro. But the last two aren't regulars. Heck I don't think they've even been to HMP. But yea the V8 price increase sux.

Just say you got a peppy v6 lol

After the chicago event, we plan on going to HMP events more often (we would have gone more recently, but the el co has been getting a lot of work done). Didn't know they were charging more for v8's? They may be mentioned in an upcoming HotRod article, maybe they will change their tune then :D

And we drive from college station to gulf greyhound park, short compared to when we drove to sonoma, CA :roflmao:

Soo... Drift meet, yes? Sounds good. Post a final date. Unless it happened on teh 24th and i missed it :bawling:. I won't be drifting untill i reinforce my subframe, but i would like to attend anyways...
