I gotta be honest and admit that I am going to be narrow minded and tunnel visioned in my choice for the next President of the United States...........
I have to say, I have enjoyed the last few days of hoopla on this new forum....anybody that hasnt, is just plain dead :thumb:
I have seriously learned alot from my researching and digging and also from a bunch of stuff posted by the passionate others of this forum........some were asses, but you cant get away from that aspect of forums....admittedly, thats half the fun......
Now back to my explanation of why I am gonna vote the way I am......
I am an ex military man......(I served 8 years, no war time, but still served), that makes me a very patriotic soul and its hard to understand unless you have worn the uniform of one of our services.....I have actually learned a lot about Kerry, but I seriously, admittedly doubt there will be any info that will sway my vote due to his un-patriotic mistakes he made after his short term of military service, and the resultant actions he has taken since.....he did a bit more than just say our countries policies suck....he marched with a vietnamese flag about, he rallied and spoke against our troops while we had service members, no, lets be correct and call them P.O.W.'s still interned and being tortured, .....and yes, youngsters, this is fact thats isnt "cut and pasted"
Some say, so what of what he has done....nobody cares.....just stating from a middle aged, voters veiwpoint, I do care and he wont get my vote for it.
I do still look forward to the doo flying though, and please feel free to look back at the posts for informative references and links to back some of the doo up........remember, dont throw your vote where it doesnt belong.....even if you think Muddy (me) sucks :kekegay:

I agree...this forum is a great way to vent our interest in what's going on concerning our country and this election.

We all learn a lot and it's entertaining.

We're all so hard-headed so I don't believe that we're ever going to succeed in changing each other's mind. In fact, (< coma for SAMI) it's only helped reinforce my beliefs.

You deserve a leader like this, if you vote for him.

That still doesn't compare to Kerry's actions upon his return from Vietnam now does it...

It was 30+ Years ago. Can't you get the point that it was a long time ago.
Bush was a drunk then, you want a drunk running your country???

We all drink...or at least most of us do sometimes. Not everyone returns from an 'honorable' service in a war and says and does the things that Kerry has.

So...at least in my view...there's no comparison.

Question: How can you look past it? Do you really think that his views have changed? Honestly, these are core values that run to the very heart of an individual...You can't go to AA meetings to free yourself from them.

Proof that he hasn't changed: His senate voting record. Period.

You know how you always hear about the polititians who will just say anything to get your vote? You have a prime example in Kerry. It's obvious because he hasn't highlighted the factual proof of this--which is his voting record. There's no other reason to not to.

wrd. doesnt make any sense to me.

however there is that old French adage that says, "He who is not a revolutionary at 20, has no heart; he who is a revolutionary at 40, has no head"

Yes, people experience new things all the time and change their view of something, especially if they experience it for the first time

Bush didn't SOBER up till he supposedly found Christ

STFU already about the Senate Record
