Can someone figure this out???

Ok I have a friend thats on the speed team with me and he asked me and everyone he come in contact with this question. It is not a trick question of any kind, there is an answer. He's asked like 100 people the question and only 2 people have got it right, one of them being a mentally challenged person. Can someone figure this out?

How can you kill a roomfull of people, with a single quarter, in less that a second?

I don't know the real answer, so I wanted to see if any of ya'll heard this one before. If I can get the correct answer, he will give me $20!

Oh by the way, he says you can only get the correct answer when you don't even think about it. He said it is so obvious that we tend to think of it as a complicated question, so we can't answer it.

The answer is supposed to be so simple that you can't even think to answer it because if you start getting too complex you lose it.

I think the question has to do with TIME..... instead of thinking in terms of methods of how you kill the people...think of it in terms of TIME, such as a QUARTER OF A SECOND.

It doesn't matter how they die, as long as they die within a quarter of a second, which is obviously less then a second.

it is a "room full of people with a single quarter", they have the quarter, not you, you have to kill them all in one second, but you don't have to use the quarter, it just happens to be in the room with them, use a bomb, or nerve gas, or a mini-gun, just be quick about it, then take the quarter and go home, the whole thing depends on deliberately ambiguous sentence structure.
