The Kerry campaign is calling on Regnery Publishing to withdraw the swift boat book Unfit for Command after the Washington Post torpedoes [a-hem] the veracity of the swift boat veteran." They have done no such thing. "The Kerry campaign has told Salon that the publisher of Unfit for Command, the book which is at the center of the attack on Kerry's military record by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, is retailing a hoax and should consider withdrawing it from bookstores."

Now, where does this happen? When's the last time? Do you remember anybody suggesting that the Michael Moore movie be withdrawn because it's a hoax? No, that's gone to DVD now, and it's going to be mailed out all over the country. And did you recall anybody suggesting that Howard Dean, as a presidential candidate, be silenced because he was perpetrating hoaxes and myths such as Bush knew in advance that the Twin Towers on 9/11 were going to be hit and didn't do anything to stop it? This is petulance, this is immaturity from Kerry. We're seeing an unfiltered version of John Kerry, and we're finding out just exactly who he is. This is a war vet who can't take the heat of a presidential campaign. And instead of trying to deal with the heat as it comes, he's trying to cancel the source of the heat by saying, "You don't have a right to put that stuff out about me. My version is what I want to talk about and you don't have your version." To call on a publisher to cancel or withdraw a book in the United States of America is amazing!

There are two stories out there. There's Kerry's story and the story put forth by the swiftvets. Which story continues to change? If you have a child, and your child all of a sudden -- and you're living at home and there's a broken window somewhere -- and you call the kid in, you say, "Do you know how this happened?" The kid gives his version, and then he tells the second version of the story, and by the third version you know the first version is a lie, do you not? It takes sometimes three or four times to get to the truth because they're afraid or what have you, but when people start changing their story, it generally means the first version of the story isn't true.

Now, the swift boat vets haven't changed their story. It's the Kerry campaign that keeps changing it when it comes to Cambodia particularly, and when it comes to some of the other things they won't even address these charges. They go out instead and try to attack Bush or link Bush to this. Well, there's been some research done. You wouldn't believe all the 527 organizations out there that have direct contact with Kerry donors, and the media doesn't see fit to report them; the media is not interested in reporting them; the media hadn't been interested in questioning the motivation behind the Michael Moore movie or any of the other attempts.

Four different occasions, four full-fledged examinations of the records of George Bush supposedly being AWOL from the National Guard, and yet no similar curiosity from the mainstream press when it comes to the swift boat vet charges. Instead, they are willing to take the word of Michael Moore over 260-some-odd decorated vets from Vietnam. There's clearly an implosion going on. The media monopoly that they've always enjoyed has been lost. The Kerry campaign is the latest Democratic organization that doesn't know how to deal with the loss of this monopoly. And so when their willing accomplices are no longer able to carry the water and carry the day for them -- because there's now a loyal opposition which is not going to sit here and take it anymore -- what do they try to do? Get the loyal opposition silenced. Withdraw the book. Pull the ad. Shut up! But don't deal with the charges, and of course, it's the liberals who have taught us that it's "the seriousness of the charges" that really needs to be considered and prompt an investigation, not the nature of the evidence. But yet now when it's turned on them they seek to ignore that.

The real point, I think, of this effort the Kerry campaign is making via Salon.com to get the publisher, Regnery, to pull the book can be found in the last paragraph of the story. "If Regnery doesn't withdraw the book perhaps bookstore retailers will at least consider moving the title over to the fiction section." This is actually because they know Regnery is not going to pull this. I can't believe that they're demanding that happen because that's making them look like things don't happen in this country. But this last line here is really a message to the bookstores of the country, "Get that book out of your store. The publisher can't withdraw it, but don't sell it, don't stock it." That's the message from this whole attempt. Now, I think what's happening here, ladies and gentlemen, we are seeing more and more of the unfiltered John Kerry in this. Arrogant, spoiled, hot-tempered. You know, he could of had this entire month to himself if he wanted to.

Cliff notes:
Kerry is flip-flopping, swift boats dooods are proving it.....Kerry is mad and wettin' his britches about the truth being out so he wants it pulled......
did they pull the michael moore 911 movie cause it was bunk trash...nope, your choice to watch and believe if you want
